High Holidays 2024 Meal Reservations

Over the holidays, meals will be prepared by Chef Bryan Graves and his team at Mickve Israel. Meals on Selichot, Erev Rosh Hashanah, and the Sukkah Palooza will have a fee; other meals on Second Day Rosh Hashanah, the Break the Fast and Erev Sukkot require no payment, but RSVP's are requested to help us plan.

SELICHOT | Saturday, September 28

7:15 pm Dinner (Paid RSVP Required)

Brisket with gravy; Tzimmes; Roasted Brussel sprouts with citrus & balsamic; Brown rice pilaf with dates and almonds; Moroccan tomato salad; Dessert and fruit.

 

EREV ROSH HASHANAH | Wednesday, October 2

6:00 pm - Dinner (Paid RSVP Required)

Roasted chicken breast with wild mushrooms, apples, and thyme; Fingerling potatoes; Braised red cabbage; Green beans with almonds and honey; Mixed green salad; Dessert and fruit.

 

SECOND DAY ROSH HASHANAH | Friday, October 4

Luncheon following service (RSVP Requested)

Roast turkey with gravy; Challah dressing; Mashed potatoes; Mixed vegetables; Cranberry sauce; Green salad; Assorted cakes and fruit.

 

YOM KIPPUR | Saturday, October 12

“Break the Fast” following service (RSVP requested)

Bagels; Cream cheese and lox spread; Sliced tomatoes, onion, and capers; Tuna salad; Goat cheese frittata with mushrooms, broccoli, and cherry tomatoes; Orzo salad with grilled vegetables and poached salmon flakes; Yellow stone ground grits with cheddar cheese and green onions on the side; Muffins, croissants, cookies, and brownies; Orange juice, tea, and coffee.

 

PIZZA IN THE HUT | Sunday, October 13

12:30 pm - Sukkot Decorating & Pizza lunch

Pizza lunch and decorating in the Sukkah sponsored by the Women of Mickve Israel.

 

SUKKAH PALOOZA & CONSECRATION | Friday, October 18

5:30 pm - Progressive Dinner and Service Experience

Grilled hamburgers with lettuce, tomato and onion; Hot dogs with all the fixings; Dill potato salad; Toasted couscous salad with roasted vegetables and spinach pesto (non-dairy).

 

For security purposes we ask you to please bring your “Service Pass” to every High Holiday service. If you forget your pass, we will have extra passes at the Welcome/Will Call table located outside near the main entrance. Members and their guests will be allowed to enter 30 minutes prior to service. Non-members will enter during the prelude.
