We had a very productive meeting on June 3rd, which helped to lay out some of the initiatives we have in mind for the coming year. Now, we’re looking for your input so as to bring them to fruition.

Just a quick rundown of what we’re thinking about and how you might be a part of Social Action at CMI:

The One-And-Done projects: these are opportunities for you to come out (with ample forewarning) and lend a hand in any way you can. Some of these will include:

  •  Grace House
  •  Food, Clothing and Community for the refugees currently in Savannah
  • Tiny Houses
  • A Variety Show (in the spring, with details to follow) to raise money for one of our ongoing projects

The Youth Initiative for 8th-12th graders looking to get involved. Some of these opportunities would include:
  • Congregations in Service
  • Backpack Buddies

Emergency Relief (food, clothing, blankets, diapers, etc.) for natural disasters (flood, tornado, etc.)

We are also looking to jump-start our long-term goals with more macro thinking when it comes to social action: literacy, poverty, housing, etc.

But we need your input on all of these ideas. So…..
