We pride ourselves on welcoming young families into our congregation and providing them with a wide variety of ways and means to participate in our congregation.
Once a month Family Shabbat Service Program for Students ages 6-12:
Every month, (usually the second Friday of the month), we host a Friday evening Family Service program for families with children in elementary school (ages 6-12). We begin with dinner in our Social Hall (kids have the options of arts projects after they finish eating) and then move to the Sanctuary for a short service, complete with a story and fun music. Afterwards, we return for an evening activity, ranging from a PJ party to watching a movie to game night. Parents are welcome to leave their children in the Social Hall and go out (there’s usually a group that goes out together) or stay and participate in the festivities. Children above age 12 are welcome to stay and help out, and children under age 5 are welcome to stay as long as one guardian remains with them. Reservations are needed for dinner. Please double check dates.
